Heavenly Father answers prayers

¡Muy Buenos Días! [Very Good Morning!]

This week was great! Working with Elder D** is awesome and we´ve been finding new people every single day! Not just new people, but new people that really are prepared to receive the gospel right now. The only bummer about all of this week is that we´re going to have to split the area in 2 on Thursday to make room for another companionship in Mamoré. So we were talking about that a lot this morning and what we should do, and really the obvious choice for us is to take the area by the old airport by the jungle because most of our investigators are over there, but it really really doesn´t feel right. So we´re giving all of them to the new companionship that´ll be coming soon and we´ll be taking the area by the river and the other jungle on the other side of town. We´re crazy. We hardly have anyone over there to teach besides a few new families that we found this week, but we´ll see what happens. One thing is for sure, we need to be over there and not by the airport. We just don´t know why yet. Oh well, everything´s for a reason.

So cool story. We were contacting some references we had the other day, but couldn´t find any of them, so after all of that we decided to knock on some doors because we had an hour or so before our next lesson. We had no idea where to start and Elder D** suggested that we say a prayer, but he wanted me to say it haha. So we prayed very specifically that we´d be led to find a married family in the next hour that was prepared to receive us and the gospel and be baptized later. Prayer ended and we both felt like contacting in this one street. So after about 15 or 20 minutes, we found an Hermano F**. Talking to him in his door step, we found out that his first wife had died about 11 years ago when their baby had 11 months, and his second wife had left with their 8 year old daughter. He invited us in and we started to teach him, but there wasn´t anything special. He left for about a minute and Elder D** asked what we were missing in the lesson because he wasn´t really listening and didn´t want to talk much either. It was obvious that we were missing the Spirit in the lesson. So we said that we were going to start over and really listen to the Spirit and get to know him so that we could give him a fair chance to accept our message. He came back and the lesson was completely different. In the end, he was crying a little and invited us to come back and asked where and when was church. It was incredible the difference in the lesson after we decided to really shove our own thoughts aside and teach by the Spirit. Sometimes we just get lazy and start speaking, but that does absolutely nothing. We have to listen to the Spirit if we want to help them. But after all was over, I realized that we had really found our married family that we were searching. He and his first wife had a deep connection and were married before she died. I know that obviously they´re not married now because she had died, but the work continues on the other side of the veil. That and Heavenly Father answers prayers.
Have a great day everyone.
