Lo siento [I'm sorry] about the other week. The internet wasn´t working at all and I was able to send an email that was super spiritual and all, but turns out that it never sent nor saved it in my account. Oh well. Lost
history haha.
So the couple that we´ve been teaching is now seriously planning on getting baptized on the 26 of October. Yup. Birthday present. They still need to get married though, but things are slowly, very very slowly, starting to work out. But the amazing thing about them is really that they´ve changed so much and he´s said several times that after the first time that we met them, he hasn´t had any desire to be with his other friends or do anything bad at all. And the other day we were teaching them the Word of Wisdom, and we´ve mentioned it before but nothing really in detail at all or anything, but it turns out that he already stopped drinking two months ago when we started teaching them! He said that he didn´t feel like living that kind of life anymore and simply just decided to stop. Yes! And la Hermana was saying that she received this expensive coffee from Brazil the other week for her birthday and hasn´t used it yet, but said that now she doesn´t want it and is going to give it all (and their tea too) to the Brazilian neighbors. Wow they are just so awesome. And el Hermano was joking a bunch too because there´s so many people here that are always asking him why he´s listening to the Mormons, and why is he jumping on the bandwagon, and basically he´s changing a lot and loves it and everyone else is attacking him for the fact that his family has found what they´ve needed all along. So he was joking about that more the other day: ¨And now they´re all going to be laughing even more haha. ´Oh Hermano P**, he doesn´t even drink coffee anymore..... What are the Mormons doing to him?' haha.¨ And he went to a family party yesterday for his grandpa´s birthday, so we were really worried because his brother-in-law drinks a lot. But he told us not to worry at all, and sure enough, we saw him as he was leaving to go back to his house and he was completely sober and hadn´t drinken anything! Ah! They´re just so awesome!
There´s also another hermano here that we´re teaching that´s had lots of problems with his family. I think I told you about the family we found after we prayed in the street the one day to find the married family that was prepared to be baptized? Yup, it´s him and also his 2 nieces that live with him. They all came to church yesterday and really liked it. They have some really weird stories about the voodoo witches and other super creepy things that have happened in their house (voodoo and that type of stuff is really prominent in this part
of Bolivia and Brazil) and now they´re really trying to change. They always have the most random questions, but we talked about baptism on October 26th and he´s really thinking about it and wants to, but he still has a couple doubts. But nothing big and they´re progressing along just perfectly. Really excited for them too.
That´s basically it for now, I think. Yes, there´s a lot of newbies and we have 2 of them here in Guayara. Nothing much else has changed. At least one of the Elders from each companionship here in Guayara left for other areas, but us 4 in Mamoré, we´re here still. Don´t worry, that´s good. I don´t want to leave.
Sounds like everything´s goin' well. Love you all. Go and make some oreo truffles in my behalf (I got thinking about those yesterday and was missin' them haha).
