Muy buenos dìas!!! Es un dìa bonito aqui en Bolivia! (la lluvia ya se parò por el dìa) [Good morning! It's a beautiful day here in Bolivia! (The rain stopped for the day)]
Jaja
Orlando otra vez! [Haha Orlando again!] Florida was awesome that`s cool that you`re all there
again. The humidity there is basically the same like here in Santa
Cruz. But here it`s been pretty cold off and on again while winter`s
been starting. Yesterday and today have been super sunny and hot, but a
few days ago we were in coats and brought out the hats. The temperature
drops so drastically here. Yesterday we went to church with coats and
hats, then as we left, we took off the coats, both had short sleeve
shirts on, and then I just held on to my coat all day, because who wants
to put on a dumb coat when you`re already sweating in short sleeves
jaja?
Felicidades a Parker! I can`t believe that no one even threw beach
balls [at graduation] haha! I can just imagine how they threatened you all haha! Ni
modo. [No way.]
So our area is AWESOME!!! Not gonna lie, we didn`t even
teach the first 3 days when we got here, which was a little worrisome,
but now we`re having to tell people that we`ll have to come back in
several days because there`s no room for them in the schedule! Saturday,
booked. Yesterday, booked. With the exception of like 3 spots open for
appointments, we`re completely booked, and I mean completely booked,
until Friday, which is already filling up. YES. It`s been super weird.
Like yesterday.... so when can we come back? Um.... tomorrow would be
good. Oh ya, just one sec, let`s see at what time we can make it.......
oh..... um........ ya know what? Tomorrow`s not gonna work for
us........... how about Thursday afternoon?......... oh, I`m not gonna
be home until night........ oh ok...... how about Friday
then?............... Ya, weird stuff, never had this problem before
haha. But it`s all because we decided that we were actually going to do
our daily planning at night using the area book and doing it like Preach
My Gospel says instead of the super easy fast way that we`ve been used
to our whole mission. And it`s been incredible the difference that we`ve
seen! So now we`re just tryin to help the whole zone do it too.
Hopefully that all works out. But ya. The area is awesome with tons of
references and such and Elder F** is really funny and really easy to
work with. Seriously, he`s a really really good missionary and
everything just looks like it`s goin uphill.
So Los Mangales. If Santa Cruz were a clock, we`re at the 9. (or
something like that). Radial 19 between the avenida Roca y Coronado and
the avenida Piraì. (Funny enough, if we crossed the avenida Piraì and
went into the other ward over there (Pirai ward), we`d be in the other
mission and in the area where Hermana F** is haha (or was, probably
got transferred by now).
There`s not much to say, just that everything is great, we`ve got
several people that we`re teaching that are really cool and wanting to
find the truth, the members are helping us out despite what everyone
says, and ya, basically this is definitely the best start I`ve had in an
area my whole mission. It usually takes lots of time to get where we
are now (opening areas I mean), but it`s just been really really fast.
Not exactly easy, we`ve definitely been working hard. We`ll see where we
end up in a couple weeks. Elder F** is a hard worker which really
pushes me along too. Thank goodness for awesome companions who are here
for the right reasons.
Sounds like everything`s going well over there in the States.
Weird that Parker`s leaving in a month haha! READ THE SCRIPTURES
EVERYDAY!!! ....and the general conference talks, they`re a lot more
interesting now that I understand that we obviously need to change
something or they wouldn`t be talking about whatever they`re talking
about. Don`t be afraid to just try something new. That`s how we all
progress and become better people and children of our Heavenly Father.
If we just stay happy doing what we`re doing without really trying to do
something new but just staying happy because what we`re doing works,
we`re never going to know what it`s like to do something more than what
we`re already doing. I think that`s what happens to us sometimes as
members. We just get satisfied with what we have, what we`re doing, and
where we are. But it can be better than just being satisfied! That`s
what we`ve really seen this week pushing aside what everyone does and
really trying to do what Preach My Gospel teaches us to do. We can`t
just be satisfied with what we`ve done.
There`s so much more to do and
to learn.
Love you all, hope it stops raining in Florida.
Amor y paz, amor y paz. [Love and peace, love and peace.]
Elder Groneman
...my
camera died and I don`t know where the charge cord is..... hence the
fact that there`s no photos this week. Va a disculpar. La pròxima no
màs. [Going to apologize. The next no more.]
