Where to start... So this week, sì,
we went to el Urubò! We ended up finding the son of the less active
sister that we tried to visit. He`s also a member and lives there with
his family. His mom had to leave before we got there, so we had a great
lesson with him and are going back tomorrow. His step dad and cousin
that live there are atheist and don`t want anything to do with us.....
but the dad made us popcorn, so at least he doesn`t hate us haha. But
yes, first missionaries to teach en el Urubò.
And the family that we`re teaching is doing just great. The ward is
helping them out a lot because they don`t have much, and it looks like
she has some work and won`t have to go to el campo, but we`re still
trying to find something better for them. Seriously, this ward is
awesome. Always willing to help those who don`t have much. La Sociedad
de Socorro [The Relief Society] is just great. But yes, the whole family is planning on
getting baptized next week. I love teaching families. There`s always a
different spirit when you`re with a family.
I really don`t know what else to write... Una semana normal no màs [A normal week, no more].
Oh
but we did find the deaf and mute sister again. She was outside her
house yesterday, so we talked with her for a few minutes and we`re going
back this week to teach her and her..... father? Well we`re not sure if
it`s her dad that lives there or her husband because what I understand
from her is that she live with her dad, but all her neighbors say that
she lives with her husband. Ya, we`re still not very good at sign
language haha. It`ll be good to teach her with someone who knows better.
Love this ward. My companions are hilarious and really fun to teach
with. We`re going to the mission home today for a zone activity so that
should be good. Probably have quarterly interviews this week too. It`s
the first time that I`ll actually be there for an interview instead of
just helping everyone else when they have their interviews for almost a
year now. That`ll be good. A normal interview with Pdte Zambrano. Hasn`t
happened since August 2013 haha.
Oh ya, I knew I had a story from this week...... listo [ready].
So
about 2 weeks ago, Elder H** called us up and asked us if we were
working in one part of our area crossing la Avenida Piraì. Well,
obviously we`re working there so we said yes and asked why it was
important. Well, it turns out that the sister missionaries from el
barrio Piraì, another ward in another stake and the other mission, were
working there too...... weird. Well, Elder H** was here in Mangales
before too right? So he knew that it was part of our ward and not theirs
and ya, basically this all started because the sisters found a family
of members here and they were like, ¨Claro que sì. We`re part of Los
Mangales and the missionaries have eaten in our house too.¨ So that
started this huge thing of whose area is whose because the sisters got a
little mad that we were working in what was supposedly their area....
Well, in the end, the stake presidents met together and decided that the
stake limits have to be main roads and not just some of the minor roads
like all of our ward`s maps say...... So we lost an entire part of our
area. Ya. Que bueno. So we ended up getting the sister missionaries`
number, called them up, and showed them the houses of the members there
and the investigators there that we were teaching and even more the
family that we were teaching that just became active and really really
don`t want to switch wards now. Oh well. We can`t visit any of them
anymore. That was really.... sad. Ni modo. And yesterday in ward
council, we had to explain why we couldn`t go over there anymore and the
ward doesn`t believe us yet because the stake president hasn`t talked
with the bishop yet. Oh well. Our (former) ward mission leader lives
over there too haha, and he already said that if it`s true then he`s
gotta switch wards.... Oh well. But it must not have affected me that
much because at least I somewhat forgot about it haha.
But ya, we`ve still got lots of cool people that we`re teaching in
the area that hasn`t been robbed yet haha. And the ward is still
progressing. Slowly but surely.

story about el albedrìo..... ¨Dios nos da agencias.¨ Jaja creo que
enseñan el evangelio diferente allà en Mexico. Normalmente Dios no da
agencias aquì en Bolivia.... Pero puede ser, puede ser jaja. Les gustò a
los otros misioneros en la zona. Recuerdo cuando hacìa lo mismo yo
jaja. Español. Probecho.
